Two Haryana policemen terminated for stealing melons

One of the shameful acts of the Haryana Police was captured on CCTV camera when the two policemen were seen stealing melons from a street vendor at Sabzi Mandi in Jind District of Haryana. The policemen were on a motorbike and they lifted a sack of melons from the stall while the vendor was away at around 1:30 am when they were on duty.

Two policemen were on a motorbike and they lifted watermelons from the stall while the vendor was away. The vendor after seeing them getting away, he started trying to save him. The cops started beating him with sticks when he encountered them.

The vendor complained about this to the police. Jind SP Shashank Anand initiated an inquiry and after reviewing the CCTV footage they found the two police officials guilty of the crime and terminated them for such shameful act. The terminated policemen held the post of SPO and Home Gaurd, according to the reports.
