Massive blast near Indian Embassy in Kabul

Kabul: At least 80 people were killed and over 350 were injured as a powerful explosion took place near the Indian Embassy in the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan diplomatic area of Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday.

Many foreign embassies are located in the area, including the American and Canadian embassies.

The Afghan National Security Force (ANSF) has deployed its team in the area for rescue and counter-insurgency operations.

Meanwhile, EAM Sushma Swaraj assured that staff of Indian Embassy is safe and unhurt.
