UAE plans to drag Iceberg from Antarctica to meet water crisis

UAE (United Arab Emirates) is planning to drag an iceberg to its shore to quench the thirst of millions of people in UAE. This out of the box plan is suggested by The National Advisor Bureau, headquartered in Masdar City, Abu-Dhabi. The firm plans to source the giant floating ice from 1000 kms away from mainland Antarctica. After reaching the spot, the plan is to drag the iceberg to all the way 5500 kms to Fujairah coast of UAE.

According to the director of National Advisor Bureau, one iceberg could provide enough consumable water for 1 million people over five years. This mammoth task has already been successful when tested on simulators. It’s the best way to help in the drought condition of UAE. The plan will be initiated in 2018 according to the bureau
