Pilot dead, three injured after Medanta air ambulance crash lands near Bangkok

A medical ambulance between Delhi and Bangkok crashed at Nakhon Pathom Airport 727 Km from Bangkok, says government of India. Two pilots and three doctors from Medanta hospital were on the flight. The two doctors are injured and are in the ICU.

External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj informed about the incident in a series of tweets and said that the commission is providing all possible help. “The Air Ambulance of Medanta Hospital with five member crew caught fire and crashlanded near Bangkok. The injured were shifted to Bangkok Hospital by Army helicopters. Our Mission has just informed me that we have lost pilot of the Air Ambulance Arunaksha Nandy,” Swaraj said in a series of tweets. “Dr.Shailendra and Dr.Komal are in the ICU. The other two have sustained minor injuries,” she added.
