Salman Khan acquitted in Arms Act Case by Jodhpur Court

In a huge relief for Bollywood actor, Salman Khan, Jodhpur court on Wednesday acquitted the superstar in arms act case as he was accused of carrying firearms with an expired licence during a hunting trip.

Khan was present in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate with his sister Alvira when the verdict was pronounced.

This was one of the four cases against the actor. While the Rajasthan High Court has acquitted him in two cases of Chinkara poaching, trial in the third case of alleged poaching of two blackbucks is still on.

The case under sections 3/25 and 3/27 of the Arms Act were filed against Khan saying he used firearms with the expired licence in the poaching of blackbucks at Kankani near Jodhpur on October 1-2, 1998.

Khan, during his last court appearance on March 10, 2016, had said that he was innocent and was framed in the case by the forest department.
