\ Setting in of northeasterly winds along southern parts\of the east coast indicates that southwest monsoon has\withdrawn from the remaining parts of the country, Bay of\Bengal and Arabian Sea. Thus it has withdrawn from the entire\country, today, the 28th October 2016. Also, conditions are\favourable for commencement of northeast monsoon rains over\Tamil Nadu, Kerala and adjoining parts of Andhra Pradesh and\Karnataka around 30th October 2016.\ The Deep Depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal\moved westwards, weakened into a Depression and lay centred at\1730 hrs IST of yesterday, the 27th October, 2016 over the\same region, near Lat.15.5º N/Long.83.5ºE, about 240 kms\south-southeast of Vishakhapatnam and 260 kms east-southeast\of Machilipatnam and 390 kms east-northeast of Nellore.\ It moved west-southwestwards and lay centred at 2330\hrs IST of yesterday, the 27th October, 2016 over the same\region, near Lat.15.3ºN/Long.83.0ºE, about 260 kms\south-southwest of Vishakhapatnam and 220 kms east-southeast\of Machilipatnam and 330 kms east-northeast of Nellore.\ It further weakened and lay as a well marked low\pressure area at 0530 hrs IST of today over westcentral Bay of\Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast.\ It further weakened into a low pressure area and lies\over the same region today morning. Associated cyclonic\circulation extends upto 3.6 kms a. s. l. tilting\southwestwards with height.\ The trough in the lower levels from this system to\Bangla Desh has become less marked. However, a cyclonic\circulation extending upto 0.9 km a. s. l. lies over east\Assam and neighbourhood.\ A cyclonic circulation extending upto 4.5 kms a. s.\l. lies over eastcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. A\shear zone in lower levels extends from the low pressure area\to coastal Karnataka across Rayalaseema and south Interior\Karnataka.
