CVC wants citizens, corporates to take e-integrity pledge

\ New Delhi, Oct 28 (PTI) The Central Vigilance Commission\(CVC) has planned an electronic or e-integrity pledge for\citizens and organisations for upholding the highest standards\of ethical conduct and honesty.\ The pledge, which is part of efforts being made to aware\people on the ill-affects of corruption ahead of vigilance\awareness week beginning this Monday, can be taken by\accessing the Commission\\’s website– www.cvc.nic.in.\ \\"In this regard, the Commission has envisaged a concept\of integrity pledge to enlist support and commitment of the\citizens and organisations for upholding the highest standards\of ethical conduct, honesty and integrity. As such there are\two integrity pledges, one for the citizens and the other for\corporates, entities, firms, etc, especially in the private\sector,\\" the CVC said in a directive issued today.\ The theme for this year\\’s vigilance awareness week is\\\"public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating\corruption\\".\ The CVC said as there would be lack of web access to the\public especially in the remote areas, a provision of mass\pledge has also been made available.\ \\"It is requested that efforts be made to reach out to\citizens and organisations including students, government\servants, their families, general public and to encourage them\to take integrity pledge,\\" the order said.
