California: In a shocking incident in California, a group of men brutally attacked a Sikh American, by knocking off his turban and chopping down his unshorn hair with a knife.
Maan Singh Khalsa, 41, an IT professional in California, was riding home on September 25 when a group of men in a car threw a beer can at his car. Screaming that his hair be cut off, the men stretched his head out, and cut a fistful of his hair with a knife, reported Mr. Khalsa.
The occurrence prompted the civil rights organisation to command a hate crime investigation into the incident.

Maan Singh Khalsa has lacerations to his fingers, hands, eye, and teeth.

“The attackers caused physical injuries and deep harm when they targeted my Sikh faith,” Mr. Khalsa said in a press statement.
