Married not branded: Twinkle Khanna won’t change to ‘Kumar’

Mumbai, Sep 20 (PTI) Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khannasays in her 15 years of marriage, she has faced the questionabout not adopting her husband Akshay Kumar’s surname manytimes but she never felt the need to ditch her maiden name. Twinkle was bombared with tweets by a user asking her tochange her surname as she is a married woman. Replying to the guy in her witty manner, Twinkle saidmarriage does not imply being labeled for the rest of yourlife. "A lot of people bring this up, though not as stridentlyas this gentleman-Khanna it will always be#MarriedNotBranded," she tweeted alongside a screenshot of theuser’s tweets. Her reply drew praise from Twitterati. Acclaimed film critic Bhawana Somaaya tweeted,"@mrsfunnybones love you babes, for your spunk, your wit, yourguts."
