Ink attack on Manish Sisodia

Date:

Ink was thrown at Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Monday while he was speaking with the media after leaving LG Najeeb Jung’s residence.

“They are trying to divert people’s attention when the Aam Aadmi Party government is doing its work in Delhi,” Sisodia said.

The attacker, who has been identified as Brajesh, said he threw the ink to protest the absence of senior Delhi government officials from Delhi, when it was facing a severe dengue and chikungunya epidemic.

Delhi AAP ministers, including CM Arvind Kejriwal, have been facing a lot of criticism because of their absence while the menace of Dengue and Chikunguniya is increasing.

Sisodia returned last night from his Finland tour, which became controversial after social media posts of his trip – including one of him having ice-cream on the roadside – led to a “summons” from the Lieutenant Governor.

Reacting to the attack, Sisodia said, “Delhi government is committed to working on health and education. But Congress and BJP are working on ink. They have nothing to do with Delhiites. Their aim is to stop our initiatives. This is the dirty politics of BJP and Congress.”
