Big Bollywood stars to join Cold Play at Global Citizen Festival

Jay Z, Cold Play and top Bollywood stars will come together at the first Global Citizen Festival on November 19th in Mumbai.

The event will mirror the annual Global Citizen Festival held in Central Park, New York, where free tickets can be earned by performing some social tasks.

This will be the first-ever performances in India by Jay Z and Cold Play.

Big names of Bollywood like Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farahan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Arijit Singh and many others will join the party.

In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Global Citizen Festival in New York. And in 2015, Martin met Modi to discuss Swachh Bharat, Namami Gange and Beti Bachao – Beto Padhao initiatives.Global Citizen India web site, users can earn reward points in return for performing tasks in support of education, equality and sanitation campaigns. These include the likes of signing online petitions to Indian politicians and even to organizations such as the World Bank. The points can then be redeemed for free tickets.

The India concert is being held on World Toilet Day to highlight the issue of sanitation in the country.
