Account hacked,spurious tweet sent with malicious intent:Tata

New Delhi, Sep 10 (PTI) Leading industrialist Ratan Tatatoday said his Twitter account was hacked yesterday and a"spurious" tweet with "malicious intent" was sent. "Shocked that my Twitter account was hacked yesterday anda spurious malicious was wrongly attributed to me. Thisspurious tweet has now been deleted and my Twitter accountrestored. I regret the inconvenience that this malicious andwrongful action may have caused," he tweeted. Yesterday, a tweet by parody account @realhistorypic wasshared by Tata’s account showed Reliance Industries ChiefMukesh Ambani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi together withthe caption: Owner of Network 18 welcoming his employee toaddress people how (sic) cronies are going to halt inflation. The tweet also marked Delhi Chief Minister ArvindKejriwal. Netizens were surprised by the tweet by the ChairmanEmeritus of Tata Sons considering that he is not very activeon Twitter. Tata’s previous tweets are dated September 1, February 21and December 28, 2015. He has 6.13 million followers and has119 tweets since he joined the microblogging platform in April2011. PTI SR RKLABI
