Guru Nanak’s marriage anniv: Holiday in Batala on September 8

Gurdaspur, Sep 4 (PTI) The Gurdaspur districtadministration today announced a holiday in Batalasub-division here on September 8 on account of Guru NanakDev’s marriage anniversary. The 529th marriage anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, thefounder of the Sikh religion, falls on that day. Gurdaspur District Magistrate Pardeep Sabharwal hasordered closure of state government offices and government aswell as private educational institutions, includingpolytechnics and ITIs, in Batala sub-division on September 8,an official release said here. However, the examinations of Punjab School Education Boardand the universities would be conducted as usual, it said. PTICORR SUN RC SCRC
