Sharma said the CBI raids in the residences of formerHaryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in a case ofalleged irregularities in acquisition of land in Gurgaon, wasalso part of the "same malice". Hitting back at the Prime Minister, he claimed thatin Gujarat, thousands of hectares of land were "sold for asong" and if land deals are probed, all the BJP chiefMinisters would be in the dock. Besides, he alleged that there is a "Dirty TricksDepartment which is active, operate from the PMO. They aretargeting Leaders in the Opposition. We have said it inParliament, we are saying it again". "They are tapping phones, keeping Opposition Leadersunder surveillance, keeping senior Judges, senior Officials ofGovernment of India under surveillance and the phones aretapped" "He is running a Presidential form of authoritarianGovernment with neither the check of Presidential form ofGovernment which are there in those countries which have aPresidential system nor the checks and balances of Cabinet inParliamentary system", Sharma insisted. The Congress leader alleged that the Prime Ministerdoes not take any action against BJP Chief Ministers despitehaving clearcut cases, but goes out of the way to "target"opposition leaders and Chief Ministers. "When Modi was the Chief Minister in Gujarat, a case oftrespassing and robbery was made out against opposition leaderArjun Modhwadia. While cases were filed against late ChiefMinister Amarsinh Chaudhary, raids were conducted againstanother former Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela", he saidadding that the Enforcement Directorate notice to AssociatedJournals Ltd which used to bring out National Herald wasanother such instance.
