"As a close friend and a country whose democraticinstitutions have matured over the years, India celebratesMyanmar’s success and will continue to support Myanmar instrengthening democracy in their country. India is committedto assist in any way that India can in the development andinitiatives for the progress of the people of Myanmar," hesaid. The President said India looks forward to work withMyanmar in areas that it has prioritised such asinfrastructure development, connectivity, capacity-building,education, healthcare and the setting up of small developmentprojects. "Government of India stands ready to extend unstintingsupport whenever, wherever, and however Myanmar desires it forachieving the aspirations of its people and the policies ofGovernment of Myanmar," he said.
