Father alleges negligence of govt doctors for son’s death

Kanpur, Aug 30 (PTI) A man has alleged that his12-year-old son died due to negligence of the doctors at JSVMMedical College here, a charge which the hospital authoritieshave refuted. JVSM Medical College Principal Navneet Kumar today saidthe child was already brought dead to the hospital and aninquiry has been ordered into the matter. On August 28, Sunil Kumar brought his son Anshu, who wassuffering from fever, to the emergency ward of Hallet hospitalof JSVM Medical College. He has alleged that the doctors asked him to go from onedepartment to another which he did while carrying his son onhis shoulder, Anshu died in the process. A committee led by three doctors has been asked to submita report on the matter within three days,the MedicalCollege Principal said today. Kapur DM Kaushal Raj Sharma has also ordered an inquiryinto the matter and has formed a two-member committeecomprising Additional City Magistrate and Additional ChiefMedical Officer.
