Being straightforward backfires: Ileana D’Cruz

Mumbai, Aug 28 (PTI) Actress Ileana D’Cruz says beingstraightforward has always landed her in trouble. The 28-year-old "Rustom" actress said she has beenmisquoted a lot of times but it’s tough for her to fake. "I have been told that I am too straightforward. Butthat’s me. What you see is what you get with me. All that sweettalk doesn’t work. "I have been misquoted a lot of times due to mystraightforward nature. Being straightforward tends tobackfires a lot of times," Ileana told PTI. The actress feels social media is one place where thingsgo berserk, but still she prefers to be her real-self on theplatform. "Social media makes things tough a lot of times. Peoplejust misunderstand. But I guess that’s what social media isfor. I would rather be me and have people misunderstand me thanbeing a plastic. I am not asking anyone to like me or hate me.I don’t disrespect anybody. I would be the last person to picka fight with someone." On work front, the actress has signed on to star in"Baadshaho" and will start filming in November. Ileana turned showstopper for designer Ridhi Mehra’scollection "Arcadia" at the ongoing Lakme Fashion WeekWinter/Festive 2016. The feminine, luxurious collection brought alive elementsof floral gardens and vintage fountains.
