Vaishno Devi-bound pilgrim dies due to heart attack

Jammu, Aug 27 (PTI) A 54-year-old Vaishno Devi-boundpilgrim died apparently after suffering a heart attack inKatra town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district today. Koushal Chand, a resident of Delhi, fell unconsciouswhile taking a bath at Bhawan and was taken to the nearbydispensary by his relatives, a police officer said. The doctors examining him declared him brought dead andsaid that the apparent cause of the death seems to be heartattack, the officer said. The body of the deceased has been shifted to thecommunity health centre in Katra for legal and medicalformalities after which it would be handed over to therelatives, he said, adding that a case has been registered.PTI TSS AB BSA DVBSA
