Collection agent robbed of Rs 11 lakh in Adarsh Nagar

New Delhi, Aug 22 (PTI) Four bike-borne robbers todaylooted a collection agent of Rs 11 lakh in Adarsh Nagar areaof north west Delhi. Ram Bahadur (34), who worked with a trader dealing inphone recharge coupons in Shalimar Bagh area, was returningoffice after collecting Rs 11 lakh from the market when he wasrobbed by four robbers on two bikes in the afternoon, policesaid. Bahadur told police that after collecting cash he wason his bike when he was intercepted by two bikes near AdarshNagar red light. He said he lost balance and fell on the road while therobbers picked up the cash bag and fled away, said a seniorpolice officer. The employee was on his way to deposit the money in a bankin Model Town when he was robbed. Police have registered a case and launched investigationafter screening CCTV footage and questioning Bahadur and hisemployers. The role of an insider can not be ruled out in the casesince minimum use of force was employed by the robbers,Bahadur sustained minor injuries as he fell down from hisbike, the officer said.
