YECHURY-KASHMIR 2 LAST

Date:

"What is the government now planning to do? Is it "What is the government now planning to do? Is itplanning to start Indo-Pak dialogue? You need to start it forour sake, to restore normalcy in Kashmir. We have to exposePakistan, shame Pakistan in international arena. But theforeign policy that Modi government is pursing is classic kneejerk diplomacy," Yechury said. He noted that there was confusion about which course tofollow, whether to follow the course of "56 inch sarkar ordropping by all of a sudden to have biryani". India had yesterday rejected Pakistan’s proposal to holdForeign Secretary-level talks on Kashmir and made it clearthat terrorism was "central" to its relation with Islamabad, whose different views and attitude have made it difficult forbilateral ties to grow. Yechury also said Modi’s reference to atrocities inBaluchistan would prove to be another mistake in terms offoreign policy. "We all know about the human rights violation inBaloochistan. But Baloochistan is an integral part ofPakistan, as we have said that Kashmir is an integral part ofIndia. Nobody has any right to interfere in that. So if youraise the issue of Baloochistan, Pakistan gets the opportunityto raise the issue of Kashmir," he said. PTI PNT MDMDSRY
