Ujaas Energy aiming for 500 crore revenues

Ujaas Energy has posted a steady set of earnings in the first quarter. Well comparing the progress and and matching with numbers Joint Managing Director and CFO Anurag Mundra said solar power business was the major contributor to the total revenues and would likely clock around Rs 500 crore in FY17.

The company has reported revenues of around Rs 280 crore in FY16. The company currently has 25 megawatt of orders and bid-book of around 85 MW, said Mundra.

For turn key solutions business margins business are more but volumes are less and vice-versa for in the EPC. According to reports, the margins in this quarter were low because more sales from EPC business were reported and higher margin solutions business comes in Q2 and Q4. EPC business margins are around 10 percent.

While taking a look at some more statistics we see that the standalone first quarter FY17 numbers, the company reported total income of Rs 93.7 crore versus Rs 11.8 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. EBITDA was up 51 percent versus Rs 10.2 crore. Meanwhile margins were at 16 percent compared to Rs 85 percent YoY.
