In a momentous first, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit its most trustworthy friend Israel, a few months after the Israeli President Reuven Rivlin’s visit to India. President Rivlin is expected to visit India in September 2016.
Prime Minister’s Israel visit is important because various reasons, as since the day India got independence, no Indian prime minister has visited the Holy Land so far. On the one hand, it will make Mr. Modi, the first Indian prime minister to visit Israel, on other it will deepen the strategic ties between the two.
It is expected that the visit will be made in January, as both the countries will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of full diplomatic ties in January. The BJP Delegation had already visited Israel to prepare for PM Modi’ trip.
