Gumthala Gharu: First wifi village of Haryana

Technology is trying to reach the remotest places. Gumthala Garhu, a Village located 34 KM towards west from District head quarters Kurukshetra became the first completely wifi village of Haryana.
The village was earlier in news foe reported the young panchayat, wherein all are in age between 22-40 years old.
The reason for the village to go wifi was unique, “monkeys disrupted the landline broadband connections”.
The cost of the system was beard by the panchayat, the MLA fund and the villagers, around 8.5 lakhs.
People of the village came up for the proposal for wifi, they appreciated the use of internet and wants to go gen-next with the changing technology.
Reportedly there are 100 NRIs houses in the village.
