Smriti bhi kabhi HRD minister thi….!!
In a major rejig of the Narendra Modi council of ministers following an expansion on Tuesday, Smriti Irani was replaced as Human Resource Development Minister by Prakash Javadekar.
Irani has been made Textiles Minister, replacing incumbent Santosh Gangwar who will be now be Minister of State for Finance.
Reacting to her removal from the HRD Ministry, Mani Shankar Aiyar of the Congress party said that he was delighted that Smriti Irani was dropped as HRD minister.
Sadanand Dhume, WSJ columnist posted this on Twitter: “On the face of it, Textiles ministry is a demotion for Smriti Irani. But not if plans to turn it into a major engine of job growth pan out.”/

BJP spokesperson GVLN Rao said that the Textile Ministry is a very important ministry in the Central government.
Another BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli said, “People with vested interests are working against Smriti Irani because she’s working in national interest.”
