Who says it’s always an eye for an eye? Sometimes it’s even more; sometimes you lose one and gain 21 instead. Yes, that is what happened on Saturday. While AAP was basking in the glory of having one Ex Cong MLA in their party, little did they know that something as big as a storm is coming their way. In an unprecedented move, 21 AAP leaders from party’s Punjab wing have joined Congress today.
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh announced that 34 members of the Akali Dal from Suman and 21 leaders of AAP from Sangrur district have joined the party.
Along with 21 AAP members, 34 SGPC members and SAD supporters also joined Congress.
The Punjab Congress had yesterday suffered a setback when its firebrand leader and former MLA from Bholath, Sukhpal Khaira, joined the AAP in the presence of its senior leaders Sanjay Singh, in-charge of Punjab affairs and MP Bhagwant Mann.
