‘India can’t prove my role in 26/11 Mumbai attacks’

Date:

New Delhi: Days after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visited Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed, mastermind of Mumbai 26/11 attacks, claimed that India cannot prove his involvement in the terror attacks.

“Our government remained silent, but let me respond to Sushma. It’s been seven years but they could not prove who was behind the Mumbai attacks and Insha Allah they will never be able to prove it until eternity,” Saeed said in a video posted on his Twitter account.

“India has failed to provide any evidence of Mumbai attacks, while on the other hand Modi has confessed for worst terrorism of #1971,” he said in another tweet.

Saeed’s statement comes after India was assured of steps being taken to expedite the 26/11 Mumbai attacks trial.

India last week extended a hand of friendship to Pakistan, saying it was time the two countries display “maturity and self-confidence” to do business with each other as the world was rooting for a change and offered to move cooperation at a pace Pakistan is comfortable with.

Few days ago at ‘Heart of Asia’ ministerial conference in Pakistan, Swaraj said, “Let me take this opportunity to extend our hand to Pakistan as well. It is time that we display the maturity and self-confidence to do business with each other and strengthen regional trade and cooperation. The entire world is waiting and rooting for a change. Let us not disappoint them.”
