Shock defeat for Saina Nehwal in China Open Superseries

World number two shuttler Saina Nehwal suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Chinese opponent Xuerui Li to finish as a runner up at the China Open Superseries on Sunday.

The Olympic champion took just 39 minutes to beat Nehwal 21-12, 21-15 in a thrilling summit clash to clinch the title.

The ace Indian shuttler has won two tournaments this year- the India Open Super Series and India Grand Prix Gold, but lost the All-England and World Championships final to world number one Carolina Marin of Spain.
