Former IAAF anti-doping doctor charged with corruption – source

Date:

The doctor who was responsible for anti-doping at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) until December 2014 was charged with corruption, a source told AFP.

The development followed on from similar charges laid against former IAAF president Lamine Diack and his legal advisor, Habib Cisse.

Just as with that pair, doctor Gabriel Dolle was also released on bail on Wednesday.

The sensational charges were laid ahead of the release this month of a report by a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) commission into allegations of widespread substance abuse in Russia, Kenya and among world champions.
