Land Rover, Tata Motors-owned British luxury SUV maker is all set to launch Rover’s face-lifted Range Rover Evoque in India on 19 November. The new Range Rover Evoque will receive substantial design changes and new features.
The updated vehicle comes with a number of cosmetic changes such as a redesigned front bumper, LED daytime running lights with integrated turn indicators, two new grille designs, full LED headlamps, tweaked tail lamps and three all-new alloy wheel designs.
The interiors of the Evoque sport new seats and door casings as also new colours and materials. The vehicle has features like hands-free tailgate function, head-up display, surround camera system, 17 speakers, 825 Watts Meridian surround sound system and rear seat entertainment among others.
The refreshed Evoque is likely to be powered by the same SD4 diesel engine as the current model and it would also get Jaguar Land Rover’s new Ingenium diesel engine. The face-lifted Evoque would also be expected to feature Range Rover’s All-Terrain Progress Control.
The Evoque will feature the same 2.2-litre diesel unit that powers the current model. Mated to a ZF 9-speed automatic gearbox, this engine develops 188bhp and 420Nm.
Currently the Evoque is priced at 48.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the new one comes with a host of changes but it is likely that the price of the car could remain untouched.
