After Ghulam Ali, Shiv Sena now targets Pak actors

Date:

Mahira is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’. On the other hand, Fawad, who made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with ‘Khoobsurat,’ has more Hindi films lined up, including Dharma Productions’ ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

Mumbai: Their feeling of despise for Pakistan became more than evident when Sudheendra Kulkarni got inked. Did it stop there? No. It had just begun. The next target was Indo-Pak bilateral cricket talks. Thanks to their protests, that went right down the drain. The Shiv Sena’s next target is the entertainment industry after having closed the doors on Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali.

After ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali, Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have become the latest targets of Shiv Sena, with the latter vowing not to allow the actors to promote their upcoming films in Maharashtra.

Earlier, the Sena had not allowed Ghulam Ali to perform in the state. After being banned from performing in Mumbai and Pune by the Shiv Sena, Ghulam Ali was invited to perform in Kolkata and Delhi.

The Shiv Sena had defended its move stating that banning the singer was their tribute to the Indian soldiers, who had died at the hands of Pakistan in the recent ceasefire violations.

The Sena had also protested at the BCCI headquarters leading to the withdrawal of Pakistani Umpire Aleem Dar from India-South Africa ODI series.
