Andhra Pradesh: Search on for TDP leaders abducted by Maoists

New Delhi: State police are still ascertaining the location of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders in the Visakhapatnam Agency area, who were kidnapped by Maoists from their homes on Monday.

According to reports, Maoist east division secretary Kailasam released a letter to the media on Tuesday at Seeleru, asking the state government to give up its plans of mining for bauxite in Visakha Agency and withdraw paramilitary forces from all pockets and stop violating the rights of the tribals.

Meanwhile, the Maoists have called for bandh along Andhra-Odisha border from Wednesday.
