Maruti Suzuki to take a swift turn to ‘Glory’

With the festive season around the corner, carmakers are leaving no stone unturned to woo its customer and boost domestic sales.

Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, is set to rock the festive season with the addition of a new edition of its popular car Swift in its product line-up.

Maruti will be launching the limited edition Maruti Swift Glory, with a host of cosmetic and feature changes. The Facebook and Twitter accounts of Maruti Suzuki teased a new image hinting that the company is gearing up for a launch in the next three days.

According to indianautosblog.com, the Swift Glory edition will be available in two variants – VXi and VDi. These variants offer ABS and EBD, but are devoid of airbags, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, smart entry with engine starter button, steering mounted controls and a rear wiper/washer.

If reports are to be believed, the changes in the new limited edition will include a red roof and wing mirrors, racing stripes, decals on the side, blackened C-Pillars, side skirts and a rear spoiler. Also, the limited edition’s cabin will don dual-tone red and black upholstery for the seats, gear cover, and the steering wheel.

The Glory comes with 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel, both getting a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol delivers 20.4 km/l, whereas the diesel claims 25.2 km/l in the ARAI test.
