PM congratulates Sushma for excellent UN speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to congratulate her on her “excellent speech” at the UN General Assembly, and for “rightly” emphasizing on the need to end all forms of terror.

In a series of tweets, PM Modi said: “Just spoke to @SushmaSwaraj ji & congratulated her for the excellent speech at the @UN. A perfect articulation of key global issues.”

“EAM @SushmaSwaraj has wonderfully highlighted India’s contribution to @UN & shared India’s vision of what UN must be in the 21st century.”

“In her speech EAM @SushmaSwaraj has rightly emphasised on the need to end all forms of terror & make the world a peaceful place to live in.”

“Fully agree with you @SushmaSwaraj ji, empowering the girl child is vital to bring about a change in society,” he said referring to her speech.

In her speech, Sushma Swaraj hit out at Pakistan and also told the UNGA that the world cannot afford to differentiate between good terror and bad terror.
