Old songs in a new avatar

It is rightly that ‘old is gold’ and who can understand this better than Bollywood, known for its remakes of some of the most incredible films like ‘Don’, ‘Agneepath’ or the latest released film ‘Hero’.

But Bollywood is not only stuck to this very platform, now-a-days, old songs are getting remade, just to revive those beautiful songs, so that they can be cherished for lifetime. While some succeed in impressing everyone, others fail.

Every year, composers remake some of the evergreen songs and try their best to make it a chartbuster.

Bachna Ae Haseeno:

This was the song which worked for both the son as well as father. The original song was featured Rishi Kapoor in the film ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen’ and was then shot on Ranbir Kapoor, which actually brought the stage on fire. It was from the film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’.

Khoya Khoya Chaand:

KKC

This song was originally sung by Mohd. Rafi from the film Kala Bazaar and was later featured into a peppy number of recent times, and was used in the film’ Shaitaan’.

Dheere Dheere:
Original song was sung by Kumar Sanu and it proved to be one of the most favourite songs of all times and was again transformed into a new version which is sung by Honey Singh and is getting mixed reviews from everywhere. The new version features Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead and the song is recreated to pay tribute to Gulshan Kumar.

Mai Hoon Don:

This is one such song which got appreciations for both its creations. The original song was featured on Amitabh Bachchan in the film ‘Don’ and the new version was based on Shah Rukh Khan, it was from the film ‘Don: The Chase Begins Again’. Both the songs were appreciated by one and all.

Disco Deewane:

This was an album song which got best-selling Asian pop record to-date and was again transformed into a party number which was used in the film ‘Student Of The Year’, which was released in 2012.

Khaike Paan Banaras Wala

This song was one of the most relishing things of both the films experienced. This song is also from the same film ‘Don’ and had Amitabh Bachchan in the original song and Shah Rukh Khan in the second movie with the same concept. The song was loved by all and a big thumbs-up to both of them.

Aaj Phir Tumpe Pyaar Aaya Hai:

This is one of the most romantic numbers of all times. The original song was from the film ‘Dayavan’, which was released in 1988, and was later turned into one of the most sensuous songs of all times, starring Surveen Chawla and Jai Bhanushali in the lead and was featured in the film ‘Hate Story 2’, which was released in 2014.
