Death threat to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar terror group

Date:

New Delhi: Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has received a death threat allegedly from terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban.

This is not the first time that the Art of Living founder has received such threat, the spiritual guru  earlier also received some threats in the name of Islamic State and other Taliban groups. However, threats were later found to be fake after investigation.

Reports suggest that authorities are verifying the claims of the threat. Reports further said that the Union Home Ministry asked authorities to increase security around the spiritual guru.

The Malaysian chapter of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living had received threatening letters from the Islamic State (IS) terror group in March 2015.

The fresh threat has come almost a month after events planned by Art of Living in Pakistan for the International Yoga Day were cancelled following threats by extremists.
