Lenovo rolls out K3 Note in India at Rs 9,999

Date:

New Delhi: Following up on the heels of Lenovo A7000, the Chinese manufacturer has launched the budget K3 Note in India for ₹9,999.

With devices like Meizu 1 Note offering a full-HD display and LTE for ₹11,999, manufacturers are raising the bar in terms of affordability.

Xiaomi has the Redmi Note 4G in this segment, Motorola is offering the Moto G, and while Lenovo has the A series of devices, the Chinese vendor is looking to consolidate its footing in this category with the launch of the K3 Note.

K3 Note will be available exclusively via retail partner Flipkart in its first flash sale on July 8, and went up for registrations from 2 pm on Thursday.

The K3 Note flaunts a 13.97 cm (5.5) full HD display (1920 x 1080) and boasts of an impressive 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera.

Sporting a 64 bit octacore CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz and backed by a 16 core ARM MALI-T760 GPU and 2 GB DDR3 RAM, the smartphone comes with dual SIM card slots.

It also offers 16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot, which can be expanded by an additional 32 GB.

The device features Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by a replaceable 3000 mAh battery.

Speaking at the launch, Sudhin Mathur, Director, Smartphones, Lenovo India, said, “We are truly overwhelmed with the positive response from consumers for our 4G portfolio. To further enhance our consumer’s experience we are launching a device with great multitasking capabilities and unrivalled features at an affordable price.

“The K3 Note is certainly a disruptive offering with its future-proof features, superior multi-media experience and extraordinary performance.”

K3 Note was first launched in China back in March 2015. The K3 Note compares well with the recently launched Meizu m1 note.

While both devices have almost identical specifications, the key differentiator would be the pricing for the Indian market.
