Indian navy rescues crew of sinking ship

Mumbai: 19 crew members of a sinking vessel off Mumbai coast rescued by Indian Navy on Monday.

On Sunday midnight, the Indian Navy rushed help to merchant vessel Jindal Kamakshi, which started drifting due to some fault.

The Navy got a distress call from Jindal Kamakshi heading to Mundra Port from Cochin.

The problem occurred 40 nautical miles North West off Mumbai harbour and 25 nautical miles off Vasai.
