The fashion extravaganza ‘India Runway week’, Season 4, was held in National Capital from April 10-12, at Hotel Opulent. Wedding Collection ‘My Best friend’ by Junjum Gadi was the opening show for the event.
As the name suggests, the collection was dedicated to the ever underrated Bridesmaid. Of course they would like to look ravishing, though not wanting to overshadow the bride. So, they can go for contemporary looks and can wear bright colors. The collection took care of different wedding functions like Mehendi, Sangeet and the wedding, like something light and easy to move in Mehendi and something heavier for the Sangeet and the Wedding.
The collection also answered the struggle of what to wear at different themes and different times of weddings like morning wedding, beach wedding or evening wedding. Many designers participated in the event including Mausami Mewawala, Manish Patel, Vishala Shree, Varija Bajaj, Anvita Deo, Rohini Gugnani, Mukti Tribewal and Manish Gupta.
This year India Runway week was celebrating fresh fashion, with exciting week of exhibitions, premier catwalk featuring the youngest slot of talented Indian designers. A complete combination of High Music, Dhol Beats, fashionable collections and soothing light all around kept the spirits high for all participants as well as the visitors.
Students from Fashion School of Technology, Fashionistas displayed  a wide range of stunning collection of garments. As Spring is around to brighten lives, this theme unfolded from warm and cool hues in the free falling layered silhouettes of beautiful looking garments.
India Runway Week was organized by Indian Federation for Fashion Development with the objective to promote fresh and young talent in the country. Adding more to this Avinash Pathania , Founder , IFFD said, “As IFFD team is young and we know it’s difficult for young entrepreneurs to survive. Everyone talk about youth but no one is doing anything substantial for them. Young Fashion Movement is one small step to give more opportunities to young talent in the field of fashionâ€.
“We have always encouraged new talent and this time too as per the motto of IRW 2015, she particularly focused on giving opportunity to new talents of the town and will continue to motivate and bring more platforms like this in futureâ€, Kiran Kheda, Founder IFFD, said.
The event concluded with the presence of some pretty face from the B- town including Taapsee Pannu and Amrya Dastur. Tappsee walked for designer Tanieya Khanuja and Amrya showcased the designs of Sameer Junaildi.Â
