Badaun:Â In another case of lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh, two police officers have been suspended over charges of raping a 14-year-old girl.
The complaint was filed by the mother of the victim alleging gangrape by the two policemen. “They dragged my niece into the car, took her to a room and raped her,” victim’s uncle said.
The complaint was filed directly with the Badaun SP and an inquiry was initiated immediately.
“A complaint has been registered and the investigation is on. Action will be taken if anyone is found guily,” a senior police officer said.
The incident comes just a year after two minor girls were mysteriously found hanging from a tree in Badaun. The CBI had filed a closure report in November in the case that had sparked global outrage. The CBI report ruled out gangrape and murder in the case.
