Barabanki: Supporters of SP MLA, Abhay Singh, reportedly thrashed workers of a toll plaza at Barabanki in Ahmedpur on Friday. The supporters  got irked after they were asked not to take a particular exit lane. They vandalised the toll plaza and thrashed the staff on duty.
They were soon joined by more men who arrived in three Fortuner cars. The helpless attendant was assaulted in full public view. “They beat up our attendant and a guard… we have footage of the entire incident.. our attendant is severely injured,” said Kuldeep Singh, a toll booth employee.
One of the victims alleged that the MLA, Abhay Singh, sat in his car and watched while they were being attacked. The police are yet to file a case in connection with the incident. Â
