New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday landed up in yet another controversy – unknowingly though – as he was caught on camera making a BSF Jawan tie his shoelaces.
Army men escorted him through India-Pakistan border near Kutch, showing the landmarks. During a break in the trip, Rajnath Singh sat down in a chair and was seen making a jawan tie his shoelaces.
The same kind of controversy was generated previously, with other political and administrative bigwigs making functionaries do menial jobs for them as well as making them tie their shoelaces, notably Mayawati.
Rajnath Singh arrived in Kutch Wednesday evening to review BSF’s preparedness in this area which shares border with Pakistan.
Singh was given a brief presentation on BSF’s coastal security set-up in the creek area. Though BSF is a land force, in Kutch district it also provides security in creek areas along the border with Pakistan and patrols parts of the sea.
