New Delhi: Renowned spiritual guru and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, underwent emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in Delhi due to severe swelling and bleeding in his brain.
According to the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru underwent an examination by Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospitals. Following the examination, the spiritual guru was advised to undergo an MRI scan, during which significant bleeding in his brain was detected.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his well wishes to Sadhguru and conveyed hopes for his good health and swift recovery. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) PM Modi wrote, “Spoke to@SadhguruJVJi and wished him good health and a speedy recovery.”
Responsding to Prime Minister Modi’s wishes, Sadhguru expressed gratitude on X, stating, “Beloved Pradhan Mantriji, I should not be a Concern to you. You have a Nation to conduct. Overwhelmed by your concern, on my way to recovery. Dhanyavad
On March 17, Sadhguru’s neurological status rapidly worsened with a progressive decline in his level of consciousness. A team of doctors consisting of Dr Vinit Suri, Dr Pranav Kumar, Dr Sudheer Tyagi and Dr S Chatterjee performed the surgery within a few hours of admission to relieve the bleeding.
Sadhguru has demonstrated steady progress, with his brain, body, and vital parameters improving to normal levels, according to the Isha Foundation.
