Jacqueline Fernandez Accused In ₹200 Crore Extortion Case

Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused in the chargesheet filed against Sukesh Chandrasekhar in connection with the money laundering case, on charges of extortion amounting to ₹200 crore.

According to reports, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in Delhi court in which the actor has been named as an accused.

Earlier, Jacqueline was questioned by ED and assets worth ₹7 crore have been attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED issued a statement and added “Chandrasekhar had given various gifts worth Rs 5.71 crore to Fernandez from the proceeds of crime generated by criminal activities including extortion.”

According to reports, ED alleged that the gifts included a horse worth close to ₹52 lakhs and a Persian cat worth ₹9 lakh. The agency further added that the accused conman gave huge sum of money to the family members of Jacqueline Fernandez.
