Snoop Dogg and BTS will be collaborating for a song shortly, the rumors are confirmed ‘like a referee with a whistle.’
On the red carpet at the American Song Contest, the legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg disclosed that a collaboration between himself and global sensation BTS is now official.
Snoop, stating to the A.V. Club, said, “The BTS experience you keep talking about. I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official, like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s a vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.”
We have witnessed Snoop and K-pop collaborations before, he previously worked with the girl groups, Girls Generation and 2NE1, and he featured on Psy’s 2014 single “Hangover.”
Snoop tells The A.V. Club of his K-pop experience. “I’ve been connected to the music industry and scene for a long time,” “Back in the day, I had a record with a group called 2NE1. Come on now, it’s what I do.”
Snoop Dogg said on the Mogul Talk podcast in January that he had received a request from global sensation K-pop band BTS to collaborate. He stated that he had no idea how big the South Korean group was and that he would have to ask his nephew about it. “He showed me five motherfuckers who look like the Asian New Edition,” says Snoop. “I said okay.”
