The union government on June 1 announced the cancellation of CBSE Board exams for Class 12 in view of the prevailing coronavirus situation after a high-level meeting between PM Narendra Modi and education secretaries of the different states of India.
Following the decision, Indian School Certificate (ISC) board exams for Class 12 have also been cancelled. Several states have also called off the exams.

Uttar Pradesh
UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced the cancellation of the state’s Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2021.

Odisha
The Odisha government cancelled the Odisha Class 12 board exams 2021 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Friday.
Gujarat
Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama announced on Wednesday that the Gujarat Class 12 state board exams conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) have been cancelled.
Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced in a video posted on Twitter that the MP Board of Secondary Education would not be holding the Class 12 MP board exams.

Uttarakhand
State Education Minister Arvind Pandey announced the cancellation of the Uttarakhand intermediate Class 12 board exam 2021 in order to protect the health of students, teachers and parents following the consultation with the chief minister of Uttarakhand.
Haryana
Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal announced that the Haryana School Education Board had decided to cancel the Haryana Class 12 board exams 2021 and said that the state will award marks to students based on an internal assessment.
Rajasthan
Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra in a press conference on Thursday stated that the RBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2021 were cancelled. He added that the education department was coming up with a formula to evaluate marks for the students.
Goa
The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education cancelled the Class 12 board exams 2021 adding that the students who were not satisfied with the marks provided by the board could appear for the exam later on.
Maharashtra
State Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar announced the cancellation of the Maharashtra state board exams 2021 for Classes 10 and 12.
Telangana
The Telangana government has decided the cancel the intermediate second-year board exams 2021.
Karnataka
Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Sureshkumar announced on Friday that the Karnataka II PU exams have been cancelled in the state.
States including Bihar, Kerala and Chhatisgarh do not need to take a decision on the board exams as Bihar and Kerala have already conducted the board exams, whereas the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has commenced the Class 12 exams from June 1 wherein students have been allowed to collect question papers from specified centres, take them home and submit the answer copies within five days.
