Howrah Confectionery Prepares Miniature Replica Of PM Modi & Mamata Banerjee

Date:

With the election underway in West Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee and PM Modi have become the talk of the town. Not only during campaigning, but they are also particularly popular in bakeries.

A confectionery in Howrah has prepared sweet statues of star campaigners of top political parties.

The overall look has been emulated by keeping their present campaigning trail in mind. TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee can be seen in a wheelchair wearing a saree, whereas, PM Modi’s sculpture shows him wearing a half-kurta with the symbol of Lotus.

The sweet shop owner Casto Haldar said the statuettes are made up of sweets and can last for at least 6 months.

“Ahead of polls in Howrah, nothing could be better than sweets to spread the message among the people to use their rights to vote,” Haldar said.

“It is important for the people to understand that no matter which party you vote for, the polling process should be conducted peacefully. We want good governance and development whoever forms the government in Bengal,” he added.

The miniature sweet models take three days to make and cost between 8,000 to 10,000 rupees. The models are not up for sale right now and are only being displayed.

The third phase of polling in West Bengal is scheduled to take place on April 6 and the results will be out on May 2.
