FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be false.

A simple Reverse Image Search on the picture led us to an article featuring the same image. The headline of the article read ‘Maha Kumbh Mela, India’s largest festival‘.

We also found a similar picture on the photography stock website, Alamy.

“An aerial view of the temporary tents for the pilgrims at Kumbh mela,” the picture was captioned.

As per the description of the picture, it was taken in 2013.

Upon searching further, we also found a similar picture of the location from a different angle. “Tents/landscape during Maha Kumbh mela 2013 in Allahabad, India,” the caption of the picture read.

We compared that picture to the viral image and found that they are from the same location.

Hence, based on the above fact check, it is clear that the picture in circulation is NOT from the recent farmers’ protest at Singhu border.
