Date:

A video is being shared on social media which shows people lying on beds outside a hospital and being moved.

“Dangerous situation in Old City (Hyderabad)” the caption read.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found that the claim attached to it is false.

On taking out the keyframes of the video and putting them through Reverse Image Search, we found the same video on YouTube, uploaded on June 15, 2020. According to the video description, the video is from Lahore.

Taking a cue from the above video, we ran another search using relevant keywords and found several news reports on the incident.

According to Gulf News, the video was taken after a fire erupted in the surgical emergency ward of Services Hospital in Lahore on Saturday, June 13.

The article also states that the video created confusion online as people believed that the patients were waiting outside due to the increasing number of COVID-19 patients and insufficient space in hospitals. However, the rumours were soon dismissed.

Here’s another report on the same incident.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the video is not from India and no relation to any hospital in Hyderabad.
