Democrat Presidential nominee and former US Vice-President Joe Biden has strongly denied allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him by a former US Senate staff.
This comes weeks after refusing to comment on the issue and leaving it to his campaign managers.
These comments were made during a TV interview.
“I am saying unequivocally, it never, never happened”, said Biden on the allegations made by Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer. The incident is alleged to have taken place in the 1990’s when Biden was a senator.

He said that the only place any record of a formal complaint would exist is the National Archives.
He wrote a letter to the Senate Secretary asking for assistance in searching for any record of the complaints.
He also said that the complainant does not have any record and picked on the various inconsistencies in the allegation against him.
“The former staffer said she had filed a complaint back in 1993. But she doesn’t have any record of this alleged complaint,” he said. “There are so many inconsistencies,” he added.
With a large voter base consisting of women voters, the Democrats are on an overdrive to emphasize that these are just baseless allegations of political nature.
Even President Trump is treading cautiously on this matter.
“He is going to have to make his own decisions. I am not going to tell him what to do,” Trump said.
