Many states in the US and nations around the world are beginning to prepare for the phased withdrawal of the lockdown imposed due to the deadly virus. States like Georgia and Texas are opening up their economies even as the number of total Covid-19 positive cases has crossed the one million mark in that country.
Florida has made plans to reopen its economy even as the US has reported around 2200 deaths in 24 hours.
The total number of cases in the US presently stands at 1,012,583 cases and the number of deaths has crossed 58,000. Comparisons are being made with the Vietnam war in which over 55,000 soldiers were killed. This virus has taken out a greater number of lives than a war.
